Canaries turn up the heat
Canaries, playing an attacking game from the start in atrocious conditions, went ahead in the sixth minute. But Swifts managed to draw level though Lorraine Scull 15 minutes later.
Canaries began to apply the pressure and they scored a further two goals to go in at the break 3-1 up. Their fourth came early on in the second-half but their domination was about to be tested. Swifts' Fiona Lee made some great solo runs and was unlucky not to score from one of them when she took on and beat the entire defence. Erica Frith did force a goal for Swifts late on, and shortly after she had the chance for a third but the ball skidded just wide of the post.

Canaries scored three goals in the first half, despite some good work from the Swifts goalkeeper, Christina Barnard, and sweeper Laura Tucker. Erica Frith pulled a goal back for Swifts but Canaries continued to dominate and in the second half added three further scores as conditions worsened.
Bluebirds B 0 Cardinals B 2 The pitch was no better on Sunday than it was had been the previous day.
Cardinals played a solid passing game and they scored via a goalmouth scramble -- Tania Theriault pushing the ball past the Bluebirds' keeper.
Cardinals continued the second half in much the same way and they added a second when Caroline Cash executed a great pass into the circle and Deborah Cheng made the most of it, smashing the ball into the back of the net.
Cardinals could have had a third, but they missed a penalty stroke.
Saturday's Orioles B versus Swallows B game was called off due to the conditions and will now be played on a date to be decided.
