Mr. Calhoun, the senior Crown counsel, was admitted to Baltimore's Johns Hopkins University Hospital before Christmas after being taken ill with a suspected heart attack.
Last night Attorney General Elliott Mottley said he had been in touch with Mr.
Calhoun. "He is coming along well. He is mending,'' said Mr. Mottley.
He added that he had not spoken to Mr. Calhoun about the future and whether he would be returning to work.
"I have not discussed the future with him. As far as I am concerned he is still a member of my staff,'' said Mr. Mottley.
FINED, BANNED FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING CTS Fined, banned for impaired driving A 56-year-old Paget man was fined $500 and taken off the road for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to driving with two-and-a-half times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
Clinton Symonds, of Ord Road, pleaded guilty to the offence which occurred on December 8, 1996.
Police officers went to a traffic accident on Cemetery Road in Pembroke where they found that there were two cars involved.
At the scene Police spoke to Symonds and determined he'd been drinking.
Symonds told Police that he only had two drinks but a breath test revealed that he had 210 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80.
Magistrate Cheryl Ann Mapp fined Symonds $500 and took him off the road for 12 months.
MAN BANNED FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING CTS Man banned for driving impaired A 49-year-old Sandys man was fined $450 and taken off the road for 12 months after he admitted driving impaired.
Cecil Eugene White, of Malabar Close, pleaded guilty to the offence yesterday in Magistrates' Court. The offence occurred on December 11.
Sgt. Phil Taylor prosecuting said that a Police patrol spotted White driving west on South Road in Southampton.
The car crossed the centre line several times.
Police stopped him on Middle Road and found him to be unsteady on his feet and his breath smelled of intoxicants.
White told Police he only had two or three beers. A breath test revealed he had 142 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
Magistrate Cheryl Ann Mapp fined White $450 and took him off the road for 12 months.
