A telecommunications company has submitted several applications to the Planning Department in a bid to set up its cellular network on the Island.

Bermuda Digital Communications Ltd. recently submitted five applications to the Department of Planning to build telecommunications towers at various locations on the Island. The proposals requested permission to build a 60-foot tower at Tudor Hill in Southampton along with an equipment hut and an eight-foot security fence with a gate.

The company also wants to erect a 100-foot tower, two 12-foot whip antennas, a reception dish and equipment hut at Fort Hill Road in Devonshire. If permission is granted, two 12-foot antennas and a parabolic dish will be attached to the exterior wall face of the northern wing mechanical rooftop.

And a 40-foot tower with two 12-foot whip antennas as well as transmission equipment are proposed for Daisyfield Drive in Sandys.
