calendar in the form of a third annual National Road Running Series.

This season the senior series will comprise 14 road races through 1994-95 while the junior series will consist of nine races of varying distances up to 10K.

The age categories in the series will range from 12-16, 16-19, 20-39, 40-49 and over 50. Prizes will be awarded to the top five male and female finishers in the open division and top three male and female in the juniors, masters and veterans.

In addition the series will be used by the BTFA as a vehicle for selection of a representative team to compete in the Falmouth Road Race next August with a total of 12 places available. Two will be open as draw prizes to athletes completing nine or more events.

Category winners in the junior series will receive trips to the Nike Running Camp in Vermont, also next August.

Entry forms for the series are available at the Sportseller and the New Winners Edge in Hamilton. No entry fee is required but all entries must be received by January 31, 1995.

The first race in the series is this Sunday's Elbow Beach half-marathon followed by the Barbara Ming Memorial Round the Sound race on December 4. The junior championship will kick off with the International 10K on January 15.

Athletes are reminded they must be registered with the BTFA to be eligible to compete. Any inquiries can be directed to the series co-ordinator Brett Forgesson on 292-1516.
