with a friend on Front Street.The man crept up behind her, and fled with handbag containing about $70, and other personal items. Several people pursued the thief, before he disappeared in the area of Victoria Street.

The man crept up behind her, and fled with handbag containing about $70, and other personal items. Several people pursued the thief, before he disappeared in the area of Victoria Street.
The incident occurred at about 3.15 a.m. on Sunday, near the junction with Court Street. Witnesses should contact the Police on Central CID, or on 295-0011.
