Work began on Spice Valley and other middle schools earlier this year. But it was mainly internal.

It included renovations to the design and technology rooms, renovations to information technology rooms, creation of a cafeteria, and the finishing of corridors and stairwell floors.

Further to the construction work this summer, Government plans to build a new administration building, resource centre, specialty classrooms and a hardsurfaced play area.

That play area will include fenced in netball, tennis, and basketball courts.

A ten-inch-high chain link fence will also be set up near the Stadium Lane boundary and a six-foot, four-inch wall enclosure built around the garbage dumpster at the school.
