Tennis pair Dikya Brangman and Lynn Coad secured the bronze medal in the tennis skills competition held on Sunday.

Earlier Bermuda was honoured when well-known local distance runner Dwayne Bulford, who will compete in the marathon, was chosen to carry the torch into the stadium during the opening ceremonies.

Said Bermuda Special Olympics vice-president Judy Siddle yesterday: "It was a great honour for both Dwayne and Bermuda. We're very proud of him.'' Yesterday, Bermuda's swimmers were scheduled to see action, although no results were available last night.
