Duke of Edinburgh awards.

The 11 students were all given lessons in how to deal with various types of fire yesterday.

And the men giving the safety instructions were the Island's top experts the Bermuda Fire Department.

It was all part of the latest stage of the Duke of Edinburgh silver award for the youngsters.

They were invited to the Fire Headquarters in King Street and shown various techniques and equipment used in extinguishing blazes of different kinds.
