But it was second-placed Buy and Sell who led both the team and individual honours as they had the top series and game of 2,758 and 941 in their 19-8 win over mid-table Mini Forwarders. Kevin Minors, Cliff Maxwell and Miles Smith led them with series of 616, 575 and 569 respectively while Minors also chipped in with a 231 game.
Mini Forwarders rolled a 2,604 team series and 929 game in a losing cause.
Social Club was the other team on the honours list after claiming a 2,597 series and 888 game on their way to a 21-6 win over Young Blood.
GOLF GLF Two three putts on holes 17 and 18 cost Bermudian Madeline Joell a share of the medallist title during the qualifying round of the Doherty Cup at Coral Ridge Country Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Tuesday.
Still, Joell did qualify for the match play which started yesterday, having finished second behind medallist Coral Semple-Thompson who shot a one-over-par 75 to beat out Joell by two strokes. Semple-Thompson played for the US team in the 1994 World Amateur Championships.
A total of 78 players sought 32 qualifying spots in the match play tournament.
The 6,250 yard course was made tough because of wet and windy conditions.
