Bionka Swann of Francis Patton school went along, in her own words she describes the visit.

"We got to meet old people, and did a performance for them. A person from the Royal Gazette came and took pictures of us doing our dances, she said.

"Mrs. Crockwell is the owner of the rest home. She introduced us to all the women and we gave them fruit and flowers. At this home there are no men.

"One of my cousins, Ethel, works there. One of Francis Patton's retired teachers is also staying there. Her name is Miss Kennedy. She likes children.

"When we finished our performance Miss Kennedy was hanging around with us.

She told Mrs. Crockwell that she was going to be a student today. Mrs.

Crockwell and the other ladies laughed.

"When we were getting ready to leave to go and eat our lunch, the staff gave all of us a hug and kiss. We felt so comfortable that we wanted to stay. Miss Kennedy wanted us to stay as well. We liked the elderly women.'' Photo By Nigel Richardson Showing their Stuff: Primary Five students from Francis Patton Primary School's PRIDE Pals dance and skit at the Palmetto Palm rest home.
