But after a tremendous fightback against Scotland's number two Paul Barry in the quarter-finals, he ran into a much tougher opponent in the form of top seeded Spaniard Alberto Manso in the semi-finals.

Kyme looked to be heading for a quick exit in his quarter-final against Barry when he lost the first game 9-1 and the second 10-9.

He then faced match point in the third but rallied to win 10-8 before snatching the final two games 9-5, 9-0 to clinch the match.

Manso, however, proved too good in the semi-finals as he reeled off a straight games win 9-4, 9-1, 9-5.

Kyme will now play against Argentina's Alberto Fernandez today to decide third place.
