for 16 to 18 year-olds for the first time.

But there are fears players could miss out, with final registration for the new Babe Ruth league set for this morning at Kindley Community Fields in St David's amid complaints of inadequate publicity. The move comes after controversy last year when a number of players were left idle because the leagues at that time had an upper age limit of 15. The Island had been targeted as a breeding ground for Major League players by the LA Dodgers -- but they were looking for youngsters in the 15-18 age bracket.

The Youth Athletic Organisation, which runs the sport in the East end and the Bermuda Youth Sports Programme, which controls it in the West, are believed to be collaborating in setting up the new league, which is understood to need around 40 players.

Justin Feisenbruch opened the scoring inside ten minutes for the table-toppers with a short corner strike and soon after Peter Norris doubled the lead.

In the second half, the Reds continued to pile on the pressure and were rewarded with a string of stylish goals from Steve Moreton, Mark Finnegan and Billy Spencer (two).

It was not all one-way traffic and Rebels forwards Mike Elton and Manny Faria earned a series of short corners and a penalty which was converted by Mel Rajaraman.

Chameleons rounded off the rout through William Woods and Stuart MacKellar.
