Test ace on Bermuda honeymoon z
after reportedly getting married here this week.
Hooper, who is regarded as one of the top batsmen in the world, has been staying at a local hotel. The Guyana-born Test star, vice-captain of the West Indies team, is due to return to England today. He plays for English County team Kent.
Hooper's first visit to Bermuda comes three years after he was due here to play in the Clarence Parfitt Testimonial match in 1995. The player was confirmed but then was a late withdrawal, leaving team-mate Phil Simmons to fill his place.
Hooper has been in contact with testimonial official St. Claire (Brinky) Tucker during his stay, raising speculation that he could still yet make an appearance at a testimonial match, at which past players and officials are honoured.
This year's event is scheduled for September 19.
