speeding tickets. If you go over 65 m.p.h., you would get a fine of $50. If you go over 80 m.p.h., you would get a fine of $100. If you drive a car or truck and you have your music up loud, so that everyone can hear it, you would get a fine of $75. With these rules Bermuda would be a safer place. If I were the Commissioner I would send disguised Police Officers to areas known for drug dealing. They would be wired so that their conversations could be heard by the Police nearby. When the nearby Police hear the drug sealers admit that they had drugs the Police quickly proceeded to the area, and arrested the drug dealers. If it would work there would be less drugs in Bermuda. I would make sure that there are programmes and activities which the whole community can participate in. The police mobile bus would visit all schools to show films on road safety, drug and alcohol awareness, first aid and ways to keep your home safe from burglars. Interested students over the age of 14 would be able to join the Police Cadets. They would learn what subjects they should take in order to join the Police Force and after graduating from high school they would be sent to the Bermuda College. Activities such as Outward Bound would be available at all schools for children from age 10. Those who are in high school and want to become Cadets would have to pass the Outward Bound course.

At least three times a year the Police would organise a gymkhana for the younger children from age 5 to 10. These programmes could help to keep young people off the streets and would help them to become more interested in police work. They would realise that the Police are their friends.
