Blazers book Trophy berth
A goal on either side of the interval was enough to garner Boulevard two much needed points as well as a berth in the lucrative Dudley Eve Trophy competition held over the Christmas break.
Dwight Warren and Ross Lambe converted for the Blazers, who moved from fifth to third in the standings with 11 points, one behind league leaders Somerset to qualify for the tournament involving the top four.
Meanwhile, BAA remained anchored in the First Division cellar on six points, one adrift of both Devonshire Cougars and Vasco.
Despite the sunny skies and pleasantly cool breeze this match began and ended a drab affair, with the two goals providing only temporary excitement for the scant crowd on hand.
Boulevard again delved deep into their reserves, with injuries having decimated their ranks.
The first half saw Warren take the opening crack at the Green Knights' goal manned by Dwayne (Streaker) Adams in the 12th minute, but watch as his effort from 17 yards sailed over the bar.
Responding a minute later at the other end was BAA's Tillman Darrell as he created room for himself near the penalty area. However, his tame shot, although not taken cleanly by Boulevard goalkeeper Mitchell Steede, was never a worry.
After Mark DeMoura thundered an angled effort well over the bar Boulevard stepped up the pressure, as Warren had three shots on target, with the third paying dividends in the 39th minute.
A move started near the halfway line by Lambe saw the reed thin forward combine along the left side with young Jahmel Samuels before sending in a shot that was deflected across the six-yard box to a waiting Warren who made no mistake in side-footing past a sprawling Adams.
Play meandered in no particular direction and the interval proved a welcome respite for players and fans.
And little changed following the break although the visitors were able to assert more authority on the proceedings.
Lambe, enjoying perhaps his finest outing with Boulevard, capped off his afternoon with a solid headed goal following a corner-kick in the 80th minute.
The goal doused any hopes BAA had of salvaging a point and plunged them deep into the relegation zone.
