A visiting Canadian motocross team concluded their three-day racing trip to the Island with victories in the 125B class over the New Year holiday.
However, the overseas riders didn't grab all the limelight with a host of local competitors sharing the glory in front of home town fans.
With Otis Ingham ruled out by injury, Craig Panchaud stepped up in the opening 125B race and had the trio of visitors chasing after him. But his time in front was cut short after he fell off on the Delta jump and was forced to retire with bruises and bent handles.
Canadians Ryan Gould and Zeb Dennis took over and snatched first and second respectively in all three races. Third was Duprey Joel.
On New Year's Day, Dennis was the overall winner, defeating Gauld who slid off the track with a front flat tyre, leaving Joell and Kyle Constable to move up.
Ashley Simmons was the king of the 125CC class and the overall winner in all three days of racing over the holiday. Jerome Dowling placed second on the Sunday and slipped to third the following day.
Aaron Cannonier and Jerome Dowling traded race day wins on Sunday and Monday in the 80cc B class where they put their newly acquired Moto Schook knowledge to good use.
In the 80cc class it was Anthony Grant winning both days in front of Gary Blackwell and Melonie Munro.
Zahkie McIntosh was the only Kawasaki rider in the 60cc class dominated by KTM bikes.
McIntosh enjoyed a hat-trick of wins on Sunday, beating Chad Suderland, Jonte Smith and Jaircybio Ratteray. On the following day Smith grabbed honours by beating Suderland with McIntosh placing third.
Zahkie Iris was the top rider in the 50cc class, winning all holiday races.
