The 1998 World Yo-Yo Champion Jennifer Baybrook is in Bermuda to take part in a fund raising exhibition.
The event, being put on by the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Bermuda, will take place tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Ms Baybrook will be demonstrating her talents at St. Paul's Centennial Hall in Hamilton and all children are encouraged to attend.
The 18-year-old Yo-Yo champion began her career at the age of six-and-a half.
And yesterday she said: "It's something that was always around and I picked it up at camp.'' Now a member of Team High Performance, Ms Baybrook explained that the team was made up of "the top Yo-Yo champions who are mainly kids''.
"This job helps promote the Yo-Yo as an emerging competitive sport,'' she said.
During yesterday's interview, Ms Baybrook delighted several students who were passing by as well as other curious onlookers with some of her astonishing craft.
"I am very excited to be here,'' she said.
Today she will visit three local schools, allowing students to see her exceptional skills.
With entry to the exhibition students will also get a free Yo-Yo made by Ms Baybrook's father. There will also be a draw for a free lesson and there will be a competition for future hopefuls which she will judge.
