Keeper Adams on the move?

greener pastures at BAA, Bermuda Under-23 soccer captain Dwayne (Streaker) Adams could be on the move again.

Adams yesterday confirmed that he had applied for his release from the Woodlands Road club, although he issued a terse "no comment'' when asked which team he might join.

Sources gave conflicting accounts as to where Adams was headed, with Village, Devonshire Cougars and Vasco all being mentioned.

BAA were relegated to the Second Division at the end of last season following a season among the top flight and the consensus then was that Adams would seek to remain in the First Division.

A hectic day greeted staff at the Bermuda Football Association who were besieged by a multitude of players seeking releases from their current clubs, with yesterday the final day to submit forms.

Aside from Adams, others rumoured to be on the move are Devonshire Cougars' veteran sweeper and former national squad player Shawn Smith, believed to be linked to Vasco, as well as Village goal poacher Dennis Robinson, similarly mentioned as headed to the Portuguese club.

Players securing releases have until July 31 to sign on with another club or return to their old one.
