Declines on BSX
It was a week of declines on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index last week, with no fewer than four companies seeing their share prices drop in value.
Argus Group Holdings Ltd. lost the most at $1, to close at $16, with 4,500 shares traded, closely followed by Belco Holdings Ltd., which fell 75 cents to $20.50, as 1,940 shares were transacted.
Other losers included Butterfield Bank, by 15 cents to $17.75, with 182,899 shares changing hands, and Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd., by 10 cents to $5.90, as 200 shares were traded.
The only company to benefit was Bermuda Container Line Ltd., which experienced a 30-cent increase to close at $14, with 5,000 shares traded.
BF&M Ltd. (9,411), MediaHouse Ltd. -eight percent PFD (2,000) and Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. (1,000) were also active, but their share prices held firm.
The Index, as a whole, dropped 77.58 points (1.51 percent) to 5,136.78, as 216,950 shares worth $3,871,394.20 changed hands.
