Butterfield rises up

Butterfield Bank was the top trader on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.
The Bank saw its share price rise by 30 cents (1.8 percent) to close up at $17.40, with 21,815 shares traded.
But, BF&M Ltd. dropped 25 cents (1.2 percent) to finish on $20.75, as 1,000 shares changed hands.
Overall, the Index was up 44.65 points (0.94 percent) at 4,791.19, with a total of 22,815 shares worth $394,808.75 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index also inched up 1.32 percent to close at 1,138.61.
