BELCO Holdings Ltd. and BF&M Ltd. proved to be the big gainers on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday.

BELCO boosted its share price by 45 cents (0.02 percent) to finish on $20.60, as 2,000 shares changed hands, while BF&M Ltd. saw its share value climb five cents to close at $21, with 200 shares traded.

But, Butterfield Bank dropped 35 cents (0.02 percent) to close at $17 exactly, with 1,328 shares traded.

Overall, the Index finished down 47.02 points (0.99 percent) at 4,723.20, with a total of 3,528 worth $68,335.80 traded.

The BSX Insurance Index was also down by 0.91 percent at 1,157.84.
