BSX utilities flourish

The utilities sector prospered as banking and insurance suffered in an interesting day's trading on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.
BELCO Holdings Ltd. increased its share price by 25 cents (0.01 percent), to close up at $21.25, with 1,000 shares traded.
But, BF&M Ltd. and Argus Group Holdings Ltd. lost $2.20 (0.11 percent) and $1 (0.06 percent) off their share values respectively.
Meanwhile, Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. also declined, this time by $1.80 (0.14 percent) to finish on $10.80, as 3,000 shares changed hands.
Overall, the Index was down 76.53 points (1.58 percent) at 4,772.28, with a total of 24,621 shares worth $384,007.50 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index also finished down 0.04 percent at 1,149.22.
