Dear Sir,
Shaun Goater hit the nail right on the head in yesterday's sports column when he said he would not 'sugarcoat' our national squad's poor performance against Cayman Islands.
It was a statement that many Bermudians I'm sure will look to agree with.
Being unable to attend the game due to other commitments I thought I would wake up to glowing praises of Bermuda's performance.
What a let down and outrageous as this may sound to many; if Bermuda's national squad can't perform as a unit, give the job to the two top clubs in the Premier Division and forget about bringing these guys in who play professionally overseas because they always return to fail when we need them most.
No disrespect to Shaun Goater because I know if he was in the squad we would have seen a more positive result.
DISGUSTED
PS - The writing was on the wall when we lost two friendly games to Puerto Rico. In days gone by we had wooden ships and iron men. In today's world we have iron ships and wooden men.
