BSX drops further

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) saw a decline, for the second day, of 30.86 points (0.59 percent) yesterday.

It finished the day on 5,213.95 with 15,765 shares worth $284,019.25 changing hands.

On Wednesday the Index saw a decline of 17.59 points (0.33 percent).

Butterfield Bank saw its share price drop for a second day, this time by five cents (0.3 percent) to close at $17.95.

On Wednesday its share price dropped by 10 cents (0.6 percent) on the BSX. The bank traded 15,565 shares throughout the course of the day.

BELCO Holdings Ltd. also saw 200 shares swap hands, though its price remained the same.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, was up 0.412 percent at 1,065.92.
