<Bz26>Golar profit more than triples
Liquefied natural gas may deliver 31 percent of global gas by 2010 as production surges, according to a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, the world’s biggest accounting firm. LNG is gas cooled to liquid form for transportation to places unconnected by pipelines, where it is reconverted back into gas. Golar’s vessels made an average of $65,250 a day in the period, compared with $47,840 in the last three months of 2005.
