All-star clash will see East take on West
Bragging rights will be at stake when East meets West in an All-Star match at the National Sports Centre next month.
The Bermuda Football Association (BFA) will be hosting the inaugural exhibition encounter that will involve Bermuda's top players from the Premier and First Division.
In the Premier Division, the West End of the Island will be represented by Somerset Trojans, Ireland Rangers, PHC Zebras and Dandy Town and coached by PHC's Jack Castle and assistant Scott Morton of Hornets.
The East will be selected from Devonshire Cougars, North Village Rams, Boulevard Blazers, and Devonshire Colts and coached by Elliott Jennings of the Rams and assistant Shaun Smith of Devonshire Cougars.
In the First Division, Somerset Eagles, Southampton Rangers, Paget, Young Men's Social Club, BAA and Prospect United will represent the West. Janeiro Tucker, of Southampton Rangers will take charge of the coaching duties, with assistant Kenny Thompson of Somerset Eagles.
And in the East, St.George's Colts, Wolves FC, St. David's Warriors, X-Roads and Hamilton Parish will do the honours. Meshach Wade of Hamilton Parish will oversee the coaching with assistant Andrew Bascome of St.David's.
The coaching teams will be able to select three players from each team to have a squad of 18. Squads will be announced next week.
The matches will be staged on Wednesday May 7 starting at 6 p.m. with the First Division; followed by the Premier Division at 8 p.m. Admission is free.
