Senator Marc Bean was tonight elected the Progressive Labour Party's candidate for the Warwick South Central by-election.

Sen. Bean saw off challenges from Attorney General Kim Wilson, entrepreneur Nelson Hunt and Bermuda Industrial Union leader Chris Furbert and is now hot favourite to take Premier Ewart Brown's constituency seat at a by-election later this year.

Also during PLP branch elections tonight, Jhon Gibbons and Leroy Bean were selected as candidates to fight in the next General Election in St. George's West and St. George's South respectively.
