Bermuda law firm Marshall Diel & Myers has extended its global reach by reaching a cooperation agreement with London-based firm Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge UK LLP (EAPD)

A joint statement today said the arrangement will allow the two firms to provide Bermuda-based clients with seamless legal services in multiple jurisdictions, including Bermuda, the US, the UK and Hong Kong.

The deal includes Katie Tornari, an alumna of EAPD’s Insurance and Reinsurance Department, moving to Bermuda to bolster MD&M's practice.

Tim Marshall, senior partner at MD&M, said: “We have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with EAPD and we are very excited about the opportunities that hiring Katie and working in closer cooperation with EAPD will give us to build our insurance and reinsurance practice in Bermuda."

David Kendall, co-chair of the Insurance and Reinsurance Department at EAPD, said: “Bermuda is a key market for our international insurance and reinsurance clients. We have been acting for Bermuda companies for over 20 years and we see our agreement with MD&M as a significant opportunity to enhance the legal services available to our clients in Bermuda."
