Bermuda fall to Namibia
WINDHOEK -- Namibia defeated Bermuda by three wickets today in their one-day international.
Stefan Swanepoel hit the winning four off the last ball of Janeiro Tucker in the 41st over.
Earlier, Bermuda had Namibia on the back fooit after taking wickets on consecutive balls to leave the hosts on 94-5 after 22 overs.
Lionel Cann rescued Bermuda's innings with a defiant unbeaten 72 at the United Sports Ground in Windheok, Namibia.
Wickets tumbled quickly as the Bermudians went for big hits at the wrong time.
But Cann and a solid Dwayne (Sluggo) Leverock helped Bermuda recover from 128-7 to get to 203 on a batsman's wicket.
Following the interval Kevin Hurdle and Tucker took a wicket each in their opening spells.
Hurdle added a second wicket before Namibia fought back to 88-3 after 20 overs chasing 203. At that stage of their innings, Bermuda were 71-4.
But the Namibians' revival provided to be shortlived as they dropped the next two wickets at 94 before recovering.
