over the weekend where upsets were the order of the day.

Just four points separate the top and bottom teams, indicating the parity within the division.

Leading the Saturday `hit' parade were Robin Hood, who downed previously unbeaten Island Rangers 5-3 at Malabar field.

Locked 1-1 at halftime, Hood exploded for four goals in the second half to extinguish the home side, who were missing several regulars from their line-up.

Hood's Mike Haromy accounted for most of the damage, scoring twice, while further tallies were added by Simon Turner, Colin McQueen and Jeff Alpaugh.

Rangers replied through Michael Bremar (two) and Troy Berkeley.

The result lifted Hood from fourth to third, a point behind Rangers, who still head the standings by superior goal difference over BAA Wanderers.

Wanderers were likewise surprised by bottom club North Village Rams, with the pair battling to a 3-3 draw.

However, BAA had only themselves to blame. After leading by two goals at the interval they allowed Rams to launch a successful comeback, this despite having goalkeeper Andre Manders sent off for committing a professional foul.

Gary Flood, Frank Brewster and Alaister Smith scored for BAA, while Mike Levon, Cornell Castle and Mel Bean were the marksmen for Rams.

Forties wasted an opportunity to move closer to the top spot when they were stunned 2-1 by Spinning Wheel, a pair of Chris (Butch) Furbert penalties serving to lay them to waste. Brian Fubler struck for Forties.

Not to be caught out by the power reversal were Exiles, who took full advantage, beating Lobster Pot 2-0 and jumping two places from sixth to fourth.

Craig Tyrell and Kent Bascome got on the score-sheet for Exiles.

Conversely, play in Group B went according to form as Fire Service maintained their perfect record, with their sixth win on the trot, this time having Park United as their door mats in a 4-1 triumph.

Service got off slow -- the teams were level at the half -- but broke out for three goals in the second stanza as United's resistance weakened.

Scoring for the victors were Andrew Harvey, Ralph Scott, Tracy Bean and Sylvan Crockwell (own goal), while Eugene Simons scored for the losers.

Devonshire Colts All-Stars took over the second spot from St. George's All-Stars after they downed the latter 4-0 on goals from Jeff Richardson, Damon Simmons, Quincy Jones and Larry Benjamin.

Somerset Extros helped their cause with a 5-2 battering of Prison Officers.

Dwaine (Tricks) Richardson (two), Douglas Durrant, Gary Darrell and Craig (Boogie) Brangman scored for Extros, while former Trojan Dennis Brown and a Gladstone Brown own goal accounted for Officers' scoring.

In other matches Valley, with goals from Craig Pearman, Kevin McNeil and Al Thomas (two) hammered Devonshire Lions 4-0, while KPMG downed Wolves Pack 3-1, with Mark Briers (two) and Ian Rix scoring for the winners, while Eddie Swan replied for Pack.

In Alliance Division Group A action North Village drew 2-2 with Devonshire Colts as Perry Scott scored both Village goals and Devrae Bradshaw and Antoine Darrell replied for Colts.

Dandy Town downed PHC 4-2 with Cymande Davis, Nathan Webb (two) and Shakai Whitter scoring for Town. Michael Roberts and Mark Smith replied for the Zebras.

St. George's beat Somerset 5-4 as Gregg Foggo (two), Sinclair Smith, Marlon Outerbridge and Donald Whitfield scored for the winners. Antoine Brangman, Steven Burchall and Dion Minors netted for the Trojans.

In the only Group B match played BAA trounced Prospect 4-1 with Giovanni Bell, Steven Irvine, Shawn Dill and Tillman Darrell scoring for the Greens and D.Johnson for Prospect. The match between St. David's and Boulevard was not played because a referee failed to show up.
