Warm welcome from all

November 6, 2002

Dear Sir,

My wife and I have just returned from another holiday on Bermuda and we felt that following the detrimental reports in recent days that we should write to say that as usual on Bermuda we received a warm welcome from everyone we met.

We were not hassled by anyone while in town or indeed anywhere and we visited to the quieter parts of the island.

Almost everyone we met was helpful and pleasant. Bermuda has its problems but so do many towns and cities in the States and the UK. It seems to us that as everything that happens on the Island is comprehensively reported (not a bad idea) so it sometimes appears that there are more problems on Bermuda than elsewhere. Many of the incidents that occur frequently on Bermuda go unnoticed and unreported in the States and the UK.

It seems to us that as a caring community the people of Bermuda can sort out these problems and continue to provide a quality holiday location for all.

We shall return.
