Bank boosts BSX

A 50 percent rise in the price of Butterfield Bank shares helped to drive the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index up 9.32 points on Friday.
The Bank closed at $56.50 on volume of 437 shares, offsetting a 50 cent drop in the share price of Argus, which closed at $13 on volume of 6,000.
Watlington Waterworks closed unchanged at $12.60 as 1,400 shares changed hands.
The Index closed at 4,837.22, a rise of 9.32 points on volume of 7,837 shares worth $121,321.25.
For the week, the Index edged up 2.16 points on its close last Friday.
The Bermuda Insurance Index gained 4.46 points to close at 1,211.54.
