A man who suffered a serious head injury in a three-vehicle collision yesterday has been arrested for drink driving, police said.

A spokeswoman said the 35-year-old – who was injured in a collision involving two cars and a motorcycle near Shelly Bay in Hamilton Parish – was still in hospital.

The crash happened at about 8.30am.

The spokeswoman added that a 42-year-old woman injured in a separate crash yesterday near the junction of South Shore Road and Garden Drive in Paget had been released from the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after treatment for neck and back injuries.

The woman was injured after the car in which she was a passenger hit a utility pole at about 10.10am.

Police have appealed for witnesses to both incidents.
