Life is Jazz (November 4-5, 2022). Created and performed by vocalist Ana Hoffman, the show celebrates one of the most profound cultural awakenings in human history – the Harlem Renaissance. Her dynamic jazz cabaret celebrates this rich period in world history with a modern flair, highlighting legendary artists such as Duke Ellington, Billie Holliday, Langston Hughes and others, whose legacies left an indelible mark on society.

Macbeth – Actors From The London Stage (November 18-19, 2022). The renowned five actor touring group was cofounded by Sir Patrick Stewart in 1975 and is now one of the most prominent touring Shakespearean theatre companies in the world. This season AFTLS will present Macbeth, Shakespeare’s always-relevant examination of the lacerating effect of the reckless desire for power. It features a prestigious cast of Roger May, Anne Odeke, Claire Redcliffe, Annabelle Terry and Michael Wagg.

The Westerlies (December 1-3, 2022). This “arty quartet” mix ideas from jazz, new classical, and Appalachian folk, according to The New York Times. They are a New York-based brass quartet comprised of childhood friends from Seattle. Equally at home in concert halls and living rooms, The Westerlies navigate a wide array of venues and projects with the precision of a string quartet, the audacity of a rock band, and the charm of a family singalong. This is a great way to start the holiday season with the whole family, this show will be performed around the island.

Bach to Bluegrass (January 26-28, 2023). Alumni of NPR’s ‘From the Top,’ award-winning violinist Tessa Lark and virtuoso composer/bassist Michael Thurber have come together to create a duo unlike any other. By fusing their love of classical and Americana, they have created a wholly original programme and are equally comfortable in a Bach Sonata or a Kentucky fiddle tune. The whole family can enjoy this show which will be performed around the island.

New Breed Brass Band (February 10-11, 2023). The band lives and breathes the culture of New Orleans, infusing funk, rock, jazz, and hip-hop into a concert honouring the Big Easy’s second line brass band tradition. Bring your beads and wave your hankies! No better party to have or band to hear just before Mardi Gras!

Small Island, Big Smiles (February 25-26, 2023). Bring your whole family to this fun afternoon filled with music and laughter. All ages are welcome to wiggle, dance, and sing along as Grammy Award winner Dan Zanes and Haitian American vocalist/instrumentalist Claudia Zanes perform a mix of old and new songs, from near and far, in a style that’s been called ‘all-ages social music’.

Nuttin’ But A Word (March 10-11, 2023). Called "the most brilliant hip-hop choreographer in America" by The New Yorker, Rennie Harris brings his acclaimed company that pushes the boundaries of the street dance vocabulary and lands it squarely on stage. Harris’ work embodies the diverse and rich African diasporic traditions of the past, simultaneously evolving a new, contemporary voice through dance.

Sara Niemietz (May 5-6, 2023). Singer/songwriter, Sara, is one of those performers that makes you think, ‘where has she been all my life?’ Her sassy style and genuine quirky playfulness are perfect compliments to her musical gifts. Join Sara and her band as she takes the stage performing songs from her extensive musical catalogue as well as bringing new energy and freshness to music by Randy Newman, Simon & Garfunkel, and others.
