Lindo’s cuts number of discount days from three to two

An island supermarket will drop the number of days discounts are offered from three to two, it was announced yesterday.
Lindo’s Group of Companies increased opportunities for savings after the coronavirus pandemic hit.
Customers will now receive the 5 per cent discount only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
A spokeswoman said: “Originally held just once a week, the popular discount days were expanded to thrice weekly during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Lindo’s customers will continue to enjoy a 5 per cent discount on their groceries — not applicable to alcohol, cigarettes, magazines, pharmacy, general and seasonal merchandise.
“Thursday will no longer be a discount day.”
