Active Covid-19 cases now 16

Bermuda has recorded 15 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of active cases to 16, according to the latest Government update.

The latest figures show that six people have recovered and one person has left King Edward VII Memorial Hospital since last week’s update.

The figures show that the number of active cases has more than doubled from seven at the last update.

Eleven of the new cases were locally transmitted from a known source, while two were transmitted locally from an unknown source.

Another two are under investigation. None of the cases were imported.

Furthermore, no new deaths have reported since last week, leaving the total at 160.

In total, 1,027,859 tests have been carried out, with 1,009,045 of them being negative.

Bermuda has also seen 18,814 positive cases in total, with another 18,638 total recoveries.
