Registration opens for fibre workshops and classes
Registration is now underway for the Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation's second annual Fibre Festival, to be held at the non-profit art school and gallery from December 4 to 13.
Beginning December 5, three local fibre artists and three from the US will teach nearly 50 fibre arts workshops and classes during Festival Week, including various styles of felting, weaving, proddy hooking and crocheting.

Last year's Festival was deemed a great success with fibre artists from the US teaching workshops throughout the week to school groups of all ages, including children aged four and up, as well as adults. In total, more than 200 children and nearly 100 adults participated.

What's on at the Bermuda National Gallery
Photographs by the late professional Bermudian photographer Richard Saunders from the BNG's Bermuda Collection are on exhibition in the Ondaatje Wing, while 'Old Favourites from the European Collection' return to the Watlington Room. Details of the upcoming Autumn exhibitions, the opening of which takes place on September 28, will be released in due course.
Ceramics exhibition extended
The closing date of the International Contemporary Ceramics Exhibition in the Edinburgh Gallery of the Bermuda Society of Arts at City Hall has been extended to October 10.
Friday deadline for Wet Paint Festival registration
Artists wishing to participate in the Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation's fund-raising Wet Paint Festival on October 3 are reminded that registrations and bios. Artists will be required to publicly create their work at a spot of their choosing in Devonshire Parish, and complete it in one day, when a silent auction will be held.
