Learn 'golden rules' about drugs
Police want to remind parents of the ‘golden rules’ when it comes to drugs.
The Bermuda Police Service has become aware of an e-mail in circulation warning of ‘Children’s Meth’ and want to reassure the public.
A Police spokesman said: “To the best of our knowledge this methamphetamine production method has not appeared in Bermuda, although there are a lot of drug trends happening throughout the United States and other neighbouring countries.
“We recommend that as a part of drug prevention education, children should be taught that drugs can appear in various forms.”
The Police Service advises parents to tell their children the ‘golden rules’. They are: not to accept food or candy from friends or strangers if they have not seen the food items purchased or made, or if the seal on the package is broken.
Also, if children are hungry or thirsty at a friend’s home they should get permission from an adult before eating or drinking any food items which are unknown to them.
Police would like to thank the public for their help in locating a man who escaped from custody.
Robert Damon Green, 28, was arrested by officers of the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on Tuesday after escaping from Police custody on Monday afternoon.
