Police appeal for witnesses to Warwick shooting incident

Looking for clues: police officers search the scene (Photograph courtesy of the Bermuda Police Service)

Detectives continue to investigate a confirmed firearm incident outside a home in Warwick on Wednesday night.

The incident took place at about 6.50pm in the area of St Mary’s Road.

Yesterday, a police spokesman described a suspect as a slim-built, Black male dressed in dark clothing, a dark helmet and visor, riding a dark scooter.

A forensic examination of the scene confirmed that a firearm was discharged but, as previously stated, no one was injured.

Police would not say if any bullet casings were found at the scene or give an indication of the number of shots fired.

Anyone who can assist the investigation is asked to contact Acting Detective Inspector Anneka Donawa on 717-2250 or by e-mail at adonawa@bps.bm.

Alternatively, members of the public can call the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477, speak with a police officer they know, or use the Bermuda Police Service community reporting portal.
