Diversity leader to headline Dive In Festival

Baroness Helena Morrissey, a leading voice on gender equality and corporate inclusion, will be the featured guest at this year’s Dive In Festival in Bermuda.

The financier, author and diversity campaigner will join Dan Burrows, chief executive of Fidelis Insurance Group, for a fireside chat on Tuesday from 10am to 11am at Chubb’s offices on Woodbourne Avenue.

The event is part of the global Dive In Festival, now in its 11th year, which promotes culture and talent across the insurance and reinsurance industries. Sponsors include AIG, Chubb, Fidelis, KPMG in Bermuda and Sompo.

This year’s theme, “Belonging Builds Tomorrow”, highlights the role companies play in creating workplaces where employees feel valued and able to succeed.

Baroness Morrissey, a life peer in Britain’s House of Lords, is known for founding the 30 Per Cent Club, which campaigns for greater female representation on corporate boards. She also chairs The Diversity Project, aimed at accelerating inclusion in the investment and savings sector.

A former chief executive of Newton Investment Management and a TEDx speaker, Baroness Morrissey has written books including A Good Time to Be a Girl and Style and Substance. She was named one of Fortune magazine’s “50 Greatest Leaders” for her efforts to drive progress on diversity worldwide.
