Good deeds bring big prizes in support of youth charity
A charity delivering empowerment to young people has raised more than $21,000 for mentorship and support programmes helping children and families across the island.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda also celebrated giving out prizes for its annual Tag Day with a Twist in September, in which contributors put in $10 each.
Glenn Riley ended up winning two round-trip airline tickets to any BermudAir destination, along with a meal for two at Rock & Barrel in the airport before departure.
Deanne Hart was awarded an iPhone 16 from One Communications.
Patrina O’Connor-Paynter, managing director of the charity, said the contributions played “a vital role in helping us continue our mission of providing quality mentorship, support and opportunities to young people in Bermuda”.
“We are grateful for everyone who donated, volunteered or helped spread the word. Your support means the world to the children and families we serve.”
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda gave “heartfelt” thanks to BermudAir, Rock & Barrel, One Communications and its community partners.
