Work at the acute care wing of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital campus is expected to disrupt through traffic from next week.

The Bermuda Hospitals Board said the exterior of the wing will be painted over the coming months.

It means that scaffolding will be erected on January 20 and the structure will encroach on the road at KEMH between Point Finger Road and Berry Hill Road.

The BHB urged the public to exercise extra caution in the area and said that clear signage will be posted, with the scaffolding lit at night.

The traffic disruption is expected to last between six and eight weeks.
