Bermuda’s flag on stage for Super Bowl LX Halftime Show
The Bermuda flag stood tall amid a show of unity during the Super Bowl LX Halftime show, prompting locals to voice their pride over social media.
It joined more than 20 displayed at the end of the show by Latin pop artist Bad Bunny, during a procession of national banners representing more than 20 countries from North and South America, as well as the Caribbean.
The show made history for the annual American football championship for having its first Latino solo artist to headline. It was also the first time an artist at the event performed almost entirely in Spanish.
The Puerto Rican rapper was joined by singers Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, and even oversaw a wedding that was officiated live halfway through the performance.
The message of the show, evident in its procession of flags, was unity among nations — a point highlighted by the phrase “together we are America” on an American football showcased by the artist.
Many Bermudians took to social media to voice their pride and delight in seeing the flag.
One user on X wrote: “As an immigrant from Bermuda, seeing my flag represented in the halftime show meant so, so much to me!!!”
Another highlighted the performance and representation, writing: “Bad Bunny’s performance was incredible. AND he included the flag of Bermuda. I could’ve cried.”
Super Bowl LX was ended the National Football League’s 2025 season with a game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, who lost the game 29-13.
The viewership numbers for the Super Bowl will be released tomorrow.
