The Bermuda Diabetes Association will again be the chief beneficiary of the Lindo’s to Lindo’s race, which will take place on March 8.

A favourite on the road racing calendar since 1999, the event starts at Lindo’s Warwick at 8.30am and finishes at Lindo’s Devonshire, with categories on offer including a competitive 10k run, a four-mile competitive walk and a four-mile walk for charity. An early-bird ticket price of $35 per entry is available now.

The race raised $30,000 for the Bermuda Diabetes Association last year, which helped to fund vital programmes including nutritional counselling and preventive health screenings. Over the past year, the charity has screened hundreds of residents for diabetes-related complications and provided close to 1,400 prescriptions free of charge through its Client Assistance Programme

This year, Lindo’s to Lindo’s will carry the theme “Every Step Counts: Small Steps, Big Impact,” highlighting how every stride can make a real difference in the prevention and management of diabetes.

“Lindo’s to Lindo’s is more than a road race, it’s an opportunity for our community to take action for their health while supporting a cause that affects one in eight people in Bermuda,” said Lori Rockhead, executive director of the Bermuda Diabetes Association.

“With each step, participants are not just racing ― they’re creating awareness and showing that small steps, when taken together, can lead to longer, healthier lives.”

Zach Moniz, general manager at Lindo’s, is delighted that the race continues to capture the attention of the Bermuda public.

“This event is a celebration for everyone ― from athletes to families, schools, businesses, and community groups,” Moniz said.

“Seeing people of all ages come together, move and connect makes Lindo’s to Lindo’s a highlight of the 2026 calendar. From start line to finish, it reflects the energy and spirit of our community.”

Race numbers will be available for collection on Saturday, March 7, from 8.30am to 12pm at the Jack King Building in the Botanical Gardens. The first 1,000 participants to pick up their numbers will receive a goodie bag packed with healthy Lindo’s favourites.

Awards will be presented in the 10K Run to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as first and second place male and female winners in each age division: Junior (ages 12—19), Open (ages 20—39), Masters (ages 40—49), Senior Masters (ages 50—59), Veteran (ages 60—69), and Experienced Veteran (ages 70+). The 4K Competitive Walk will recognise first and second place Competitive Walkers.

All Charity Walk participants will be entered into a prize draw featuring a variety of exciting rewards for both adults and children. Prizes include an Apple Watch, gift certificates to local restaurants and retailers, wellness experiences such as a couple’s painting class, personal training sessions, yoga and sound bath classes, overnight luxury stays, and family-friendly activities including dolphin encounters and more.

The event is organised by the Mid Atlantic Athletic Club and sanctioned by Bermuda National Athletics Association. The event is further supported by Allshores, Barritt’s, Butterfield and Vallis, BGA, Europa Imports, Sompo, and parking at the start of the event is kindly provided by Warwick Academy.

Registration is now open, and participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure their spot. Those who donate $100 in support of the Bermuda Diabetes Association will have their entry fee fully refunded. For more information, or to register, visit runsignup.com
