The Bermuda Police Service has launched an investigation into an incident at Esso Warwick involving three males, two of whom had knives.

Police have expressed concern that the incident was not reported to them.

At about 4.50pm last Saturday, three males dressed in dark clothing travelling on three motorcycles entered the car park of the service station on Middle Road.

A spokesman for the BPS said: “Shortly after entering the car park, one male holding what appeared to be a knife in his right hand, approached another male.

“In response, the second male retrieved a knife from the motorcycle he was riding …

“The incident ended shortly after and the subjects left the area riding the bikes on which they first arrived.”

Acting Detective Superintendent, Derricka Burns, of the Serious Crime Division, added: “Troublingly, this matter was not reported to police.

“It came to our attention after a video recording of what happened began circulating on social media.

“Members of the public are reminded, we are all responsible for protecting our communities. We encourage you to report any criminal activity that you may witness, or have knowledge of, to police.”

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
