Habitat fundraiser to give guests taste of Spain
Members of the public will get a flavour of a Spanish island at a Habitat for Humanity of Bermuda fundraiser this month.
The charity said that the event at The Loren at Pink Beach, themed “Bermuda Meets Ibiza”, will feature an open bar, lasers and drones, music from DJ Korie Minors and “Bermudian and Spanish-inspired food experiences”.
Sandra Christensen, the executive director of Habitat Bermuda, said: “Events like this are important to help us raise the necessary funds to carry out the important work that we do in Bermuda.
“There are a lot of people who are living at or below the poverty level in derelict and unsafe homes.
“In order for us to help the vulnerable with pro bono services, fundraising in our community and at events like this is vital.”
Several companies will sponsor the fundraiser on April 11, including new platinum sponsor CMC Markets.
Benjamin Charbonneau, the CMC Markets head of retail, said: “Supporting this event reflects our wider commitment to broadening access to financial markets and enabling people from all backgrounds to engage with global markets with confidence, while continuing to set the standard in multi-asset trading and investing.”
Tickets for the event, set to start at 9pm, are $300 and can be purchased via ptix.bm.
