International creators enjoy Bermuda Carnival
A US-based influencer with millions of followers is experiencing carnival in Bermuda for the first time.
Zoe Spencer is on the island to show her followers and subscribers, which total more than 3 million on TikTok and 1.2 million on Instagram, what Bermuda and Carnival are all about.
She explained: “My favourite thing about Carnival in Bermuda is definitely the people, everybody is so friendly and so kind, and I love it here.”
Ms Spencer has cruised to Bermuda several times but said this is the her first time experiencing the island.
She said: “Everybody needs to come and experience the island and stop thinking about the Bermuda Triangle, Bermuda is the best place to be, period.”
A clip showing her boarding the plane to Bermuda and arriving at LF Wade International Airport and the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club had more than 6,100 likes and 342 shares on TikTok as of Sunday.
Other content creators from across the US, UK and Caribbean, including author and athlete Michail Antonio, are also enjoying everything that Carnival in Bermuda has to offer.
A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Tourism Authority said: “Through our collaboration with Carnival in Bermuda and Nova Mas, we have worked to ensure these creators experience the very best of Bermuda’s culture energy and hospitality.
“Their content helps showcase the youthful, high-energy side of the Bermuda vacation experience to new audiences around the world.
“We look forward to seeing [Ms Spencer] and other creators share their authentic Bermuda experiences with their communities.”
Ms Spencer broadcast several experiences in Bermuda, including hitting balls at Port Royal Golf Course, live on Twitch, where she has 420,000 subscribers.
