The ferry servicing the Pink Route will return to duty this afternoon after nearly four weeks under repair.
Georgia, according to the Department of Marine and Ports, was set to leave Hamilton at 3.45pm to visit Paget and Warwick.
She was suspended until further notice after being struck with mechanical problems on July 25 that required “urgent repairs,” according to the department.
The route has been plagued with troubles and has been suspended five times since the start of the year.
In July 2025, the Government restricted operations on the Pink Route to weekdays only with seven scheduled loops along the route per day.
Despite this, the route still experienced several breakdowns throughout the year.
