The Pink Route ferry service will be out of service effective this afternoon with the Department of Marine and Ports Services citing mechanical issues.

A spokeswoman for the department said the route, which services Paget and Warwick, will be offline until further notice after the 3.45pm sailing today.

She added: “The Orange, Blue and Green Routes are presently operating according to their published schedules.

“Updates regarding the resumption of Pink Route service will be provided as soon as additional information becomes available.

“The department apologises for the disruption and any inconvenience caused to passengers travelling on the Pink Route and appreciates the public's patience and understanding.”

The route has been plagued with mechanical troubles and only came back online on Monday after urgent repairs were made to the ferry Georgia.

In July 2025, the Government restricted operations on the Pink Route to weekdays only with seven scheduled loops along the route per day.

Despite this, the service still experienced several breakdowns throughout the year.
