A woman responsible for a collision with a car in Southampton has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.

Jasmin Everheart, 32, admitted drink-driving when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The court heard that she struck the other vehicle while driving west on South Road on August 23.

Everheart, from Sandys, was questioned and taken to Hamilton Police Station, where tests showed between 143 and 153 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of her blood. The legal limit for driving in Bermuda is 80mg/100ml.

In addition to the ban, Everheart was fined $1,500 for the offence.
